Testimonies of Healing

It is with unbounded gratitude that I look back on the blessings that Christian Science has brought into my life. Twelve years ago I applied for help for intense nervousness and insomnia; and the first night I slept like a babe.

My heart is filled with gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for the great and wonderful blessings which it has been my previlege to experience through Christian Science. I should like to call out to all who are fearful and anxious about their health, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.

For all the wonderful blessings Christian Science has brought to me and mine I am indeed grateful. I had never been a church attendant, but on the invitation of a friend and neighbor I attended the Christian Science testimony meeting one Wednesday evening in the year 1913.

It is about six years since I took up the study of Christian Science, and I wish to say how grateful I feel for the many blessings it has brought into my life. I had not long to wait for a proof of its healing power.

Sixteen years ago Christian Science found me dwelling in the midst of materialism, unhappy, unjust, ungrateful, unloving, resentful, poverty-stricken, hopeless, Godless. The coming into my life of this glorious truth was like a ray of sunshine in some dark and lonely cavern.

I am most grateful for Christian Science,—for all that it has done and is daily doing for me. When it was offered to me I was in great distress.

Having been healed through the reading of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, in 1913, I feel I should let my light shine, and therefore am writing the following testimony. In December, 1912, a friend of mine turned to Christian Science for the healing of cancer of the nose.

I consider it a great privilege to testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. I had suffered for many years from fainting attacks and from a very severe bowel trouble, and had been treated by many doctors.

I first heard of Christian Science about eight years ago. A sister was taking treatment for physical troubles and was reading the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

Christian Science came to me in the year 1913, at a time when most needed. I was suffering from a very bad nervous breakdown and severe skin disease on the face, also internal troubles for which I took treatment until our family physician gave me up.
