Testimonies of Healing

A few years ago little hope was entertained for my recovery, as the doctors had practically given me up. I suffered from growths on the kidneys, dropsy, and serious organic troubles, besides being a drug fiend.

I have been healed through Christian Science of the liquor habit and a long line of other bad habits. While attending a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in 1918 I was healed of the tobacco habit, which I had indulged for about seventeen years, and have not been tempted to return to it.

I am very grateful for Christian Science and the beautiful healings that I have received, and to Mrs. Eddy for the rediscovery of the truth which Jesus taught and demonstrated.

In 1913 I expressed my gratitude for all the good I had received through Christian Science, having been healed of a severe attack of pleurisy without material aid and only through Christian Science, in a comparatively short time. A physician who, upon the request of my family, afterwards examined me, pronounced me a well woman.

I gratefully subscribe to the above tribute of gratitude. All that I am which is good, and all that I have, is directly due to the realization of the truth as taught in Christian Science.

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and the many blessings I have received. For eight years I was under the care of doctors without any benefit, but instead getting worse all the time.

We first heard of Christian Science at a time when my husband was a nervous wreck, and gradually losing the use of his right arm. The doctors told him that medicine would do him no good, but that he might try going to the far West and roughing it on a ranch for an indefinite period.

Nearly five years ago I was very ill with congestion of the brain, which so affected my eyes that I was obliged to wear a green shade over dark glasses on account of a sense of intense pain caused by the light. While in this state of suffering, Christian Science was brought to my notice.

About five years ago, after suffering for years from chronic appendicitis, nervous indigestion, and two abnormal growths, I turned to Christian Science. Numerous doctors had treated me and I had been examined by the best diagnosticians in the city of Portland, Oregon.

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science healing. When the so-called influenza was at its climax in the South, I arrived in a southern city, where I heard talk of this disease on every side, with the result that it manifested itself in a severe form; in fact, I was stricken down within four hours after my arrival and was obliged to seek a friend's home and go to bed.
