Testimonies of Healing

For many years I was a constant attendant at a denominational Sunday school, became a member of the church when quite a young woman, and was more or less active in its young people's societies. When about sixteen I had an intense longing to know God, but the more I questioned my own church people the more confused I became and in the end concluded that God was unknowable.

Through the reading of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I was healed of abnormal growths, sick headaches, intestinal disorder, and curvature of the spine.

I am very grateful for all the help I have had in Christian Science, having proved it to be the law of God. About ten years ago I was a physical wreck, suffering from almost every ailment flesh is heir to.

Before accepting Christian Science I was serving an "unknown God" to the best of my understanding, seeking but not finding peace. I was subject to attacks of acute lumbago and tried every material treatment I heard of, including bathing in hot springs, without effecting a permanent cure.

Having received so many benefits through Christian Science, I wish to send a few words of appreciation for this wonderful truth. I am sure I would not be here if it were not for the good derived through its teachings.

I heard of Christian Science about seven years ago. At the time I was very much opposed to its teachings and words cannot express how grateful I am now to be learning what the true teachings of Christian Science are.

I have been wonderfully blessed through Christian Science. In 1912 I became acquainted with a lady who was a Christian Scientist and found her a wonderful help.

I wish to express my gratitude for all the good which has come to me through Christian Science. I have been healed of many discordant physical conditions, such as sore eyes, broken arches, heart disease, and toothache.

Before coming into Christian Science I seemed to have lost all hope and ambition in life and spent many hours in loneliness and despair, but always praying, with the hope that God would adjust things so that I would be happier. Then I became acquainted with a lady who invited me to live in her home and I gladly accepted her invitation.

I have great joy in sharing with others my proof of Christian Science healing, in that I have learned to prove the power of divine Love not only in a time of great tribulation but at all times. Although I was reared in Christian Science and attended the Sunday school I soon learned that merely believing in its teaching could never heal, but that Christian Science must be understood and demonstrated.
