Testimonies of Healing

Christian Science, in its very simplest, sweetest terms, was the power which rooted out of me years of earthbound conviction that lack, failure, and frustration were a way of life. I began to study Christian Science and attend Sunday School and church services shortly after I graduated from high school.

My mother accepted Christian Science when I was very young. Consequently, relying on God for healing through spiritually enlightened prayer has always been entirely natural to me.

In the Bible we read ( Rom. 8:28 ), "All things work together for good to them that love God," and this was proved to me in a big way.

I would like to share a few instances when the knowledge of God's ever-presence has sustained our family. There have been physical challenges.

During the thirty years that I have studied Christian Science my life has greatly changed. The blessings of God have multiplied as I have discovered my true identity as a child of God.

I did not go looking for Christian Science. It found me.

Christian Science came into my life seventy years ago. At that time I lived in a mining town in Colorado.

For a life filled with the benefits of Christian Science, I express my gratitude. One time I suffered for several days from partial inability to lift my head and move my back.

The healing power of Love played such an important part in the regeneration of our teen-age son several years ago that I feel I must share this experience. There had been a number of unhappy experiences during his senior year in high school, one of which led to his running away from home for eight days, leaving no trace of his whereabouts.

Each time a Christian Science periodical arrives, I turn first to the testimonies, and I have been helped so often that I know it is high time that I submit one of my own. I have had convincing evidences of the healing power of Christian Science in healings of pneumonia, sprained ankles, and the solution of human relationship problems.
