Testimonies of Healing
With the sincere hope that others may be helped and encouraged by it, I submit the following testimony. From childhood I would sometimes lose consciousness when I stood for a long time.
Many blessings have come to me through the understanding and application of Christian Science. Among these is the privilege of having attended the Christian Science Sunday School.
It is with sincere gratitude for Christian Science that this testimony is given, and I hope it will be helpful to others who may be struggling with problems similar to those I faced a few years ago. I had gone to my daughter's home for the week end, and after my arrival I became so ill that she called a physician.

It was through a student of Christian Science who worked in the same office as I did that I became interested in this Science. At that time, among other problems, I was suffering from migraine headaches, which were becoming more frequent and of longer duration and for which I had tried various remedies but had had no relief.
More than thirty-six years ago I was stricken with an attack of acute appendicitis. I was rushed to the hospital and operated upon.
My first testimony was published in the Christian Science Sentinel of October 17, 1931. Since then, I have had many more proofs of the healing and protecting power of God, as taught in Christian Science; and I again wish to avail myself of the opportunity to share my gratitude through the channel of our periodicals.
The story of my life before coming to Christian Science was one of constant illnesses, operations, limitation, and self-pity; but now my whole life leans on what Mary Baker Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" ( p. 277 ), "No evidence before the material senses can close my eyes to the scientific proof that God, good, is supreme.
