Testimonies of Healing

My first testimony was published in the Christian Science Sentinel of June 16, 1945. Now I should like to share a few more of my experiences along the road from sense to Soul.

Although Christian Science has been in my home since my childhood, it was not until about nine years ago that I gained a true appreciation of this Science. At that time I was suffering from a condition which one physician diagnosed as colitis, anemia, and low blood pressure and which another physician diagnosed as a nervous breakdown.

Christian Science has been a great help to me for many years. In times of great danger I have often found strength and courage in the Bible passage ( Isa.

Having enjoyed for many years the testimonies in our periodicals and the blessings they bring into our home, I write this with the thought of sharing my blessings with others. Christian Science was first presented to our family many years ago when a very young sister was given only a few months to live by leading doctors, who diagnosed her case as quick tuberculosis.

Christian Science came to me through a dear friend, who invited me to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a Church of Christ, Scientist. This was during the depression, when my husband was without a job and our supply was very limited.

I feel that the sharing of my gratitude for Christian Science is long overdue, since the truths of this beautiful religion have blessed me so bountifully. Of my recent experiences, the one for which I am most grateful is the healing of grief at the time of my father's parsing.

" Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" ( I Cor. 6:20 ), These words of Paul's filled my thought when I was suffering from the severe pain of a scalded wrist and hand.

I should like to express my deepest gratitude for Christian Science, which has been my only help in every need since I began to study it. The truth that man's rightful place is in divine consciousness has been demonstrated by my being in a satisfying place while in college and during the summer vacations.

Gratitude for Christian Science has been part of my consciousness for as long as I can remember. There have been physical healings in our family, where no other method of healing is considered.

I am sincerely grateful for Christian Science and for the many blessings it has given my family and me. The teachings of this religion were of untold benefit to me and to my husband in raising our family.
