Testimonies of Healing
When still a boy in Warsaw, Poland, I used to pray that God would help me to become such a man as He wanted me to be. This prayer for obedience to God's will enabled me later to find Christian Science.
I am indeed grateful for Christian Science. It came to me when I was seeking a better way of life than the selfish, limited way which I was then following.
The Psalmist wrote ( Ps. 138:8 ), "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me.
The following healings are some of the benefits my family and I have enjoyed through Christian Science during the past twenty-three years. My husband was healed of a tumor in the stomach by one absent treatment.
" O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph" ( Ps. 47:1 ).
Mine is a long-delayed acknowledgment of innumerable blessings that have come to me through the study and practice of Christian Science. My introduction to it was the result of my wife's initial attendance at a noonday Christian Science testimony meeting.
I should like to testify to the efficacy of Christian Science. I was stricken with a pain at the base of my spine so severe that I could neither sit nor lie down without distress.
A high light in my study of Christian Science was my privilege of attending the Sunday School. I had been a pupil there from the time I was a small child, but when I reached my early teens I thought that I was not getting enough from it and that I should leave Sunday School and attend the church services instead.
A very helpful article in the Christian Science Sentinel awakened me to the fact that, although I had frequently offered testimonies at Wednesday evening meetings in Churches of Christ, Scientist, I had not yet written a testimony for the periodicals, although this is just as essential. It is with heartfelt gratitude that I acknowledge here a few of the healing benefits that have resulted from my study and application of Christian Science.
For the wonderful protection of God's ever-presence and loving-kindness I have given verbal thanks in the Wednesday testimony meetings of a Church of Christ, Scientist. Now I feel that a written expression of gratitude not only is long overdue, but is a very great privilege.
