Testimonies of Healing

I can never express in words the joy that has come to me with the transformation of thought from sense to Soul, from the belief in matter to the knowledge of Spirit. My heart overflows with love and gratitude as I thank God for Mary Baker Eddy and her precious gift, Christian Science.

Mere words seem inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for the loving and courageous practitioners. Science was introduced to me when a loved one was suffering from a serious condition of heart trouble.

I have experienced so many blessings through Christian Science that it is my desire to express my gratitude. In my former religion I no longer found any satisfaction; I felt that something was lacking.

" Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies" ( Ps.

This testimony can express only a little of what Christian Science means to me. I began its study in 1919, when my mother enrolled me in a Christian Science Sunday School.

An experience which I had while working in an office a few years ago brought much unfoldment of good. Because of a condition of lack, it had become necessary for me to go back into the business world.

I am grateful to have learned that into my human experience can enter only two kinds of situations: harmonious ones, over which to rejoice, and inharmonious ones, which impel me to gain a closer acquaintance with God. In the eleven years in which it has been my joy to apply the teachings of Christian Science, I have had many causes for rejoicing.

Christian Science came into my home about forty-five years ago. Since that time it has been my only physician, and I have desired no other religion.

When a girl in my teens, I lived for four years with my sister and her husband, who were devoted Christian Scientists. I became so impressed with the harmony and happiness expressed in their lives and with the way in which they worked out their problems that I began to study Christian Science, for I realized they had something I lacked.

I came to Christian Science because of an internal organic disorder, for which I had already undergone one operation and had been advised by a physician to have another. I had witnessed two outstanding healings through Christian Science, which convinced me that it is the truth that heals.
