Testimonies of Healing
Words are inadequate to express the gratitude I owe to our heavenly Father for Christian Science. It has brought me happiness and an inner peace far exceeding anything I ever hoped to achieve.
I should like to express gratitude to our Father-Mother God for the physical healings, guidance, and protection which have been mine through the study of Christian Science. For a number of years I had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School.
For over thirty years Christian Science has been our only physician, and we have had so many beautiful healings in our family that I should like to add my testimony to those of many others and thus encourage all seekers for Truth. I was healed of dropsy in a very short time and was able to perform all my household duties while this healing was taking place.
About five years ago I found I was no longer able to attend to my home and family duties. I had lost much weight and had little physical strength.
It is with gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science. My introduction to this Science came through the healing in a very short time of an abdominal displacement suffered by a loved one.
The voice of Truth speaks through the melody of Love to the heart hungry for harmony. For twenty-three years I have listened to its heavenly strain and for twenty-three years it has sustained, healed, and blessed me.
More than seventeen years ago I had my first healing in Christian Science. At this time I knew nothing whatever of this Science, had never seen a Christian Science Quarterly, and had never attended a Christian Science church service or lecture.
When I was a very young child I suffered attacks of malarial fever. The treatment of the physician who attended me brought little relief, however, and the illness was prolonged.
Over thirty-five years ago I was healed of inflammatory rheumatism from my hips down and also of consumption, which was supposed to have been inherited, as my father had passed on from this condition a few years before. We did not have much understanding of Christian Science, but rny mother clung to the thought that Science would heal me.
When a child I was invited to visit a Christian Science Sunday School, and I am so grateful that I was receptive enough to realize that Christian Science is the truth; I never again desired to go hack to my former Sunday School. For the first time it was explained to me what God is.
