Testimonies of Healing
For thirty-three years I was a physician practicing medicine. About eleven years ago, after a period of illness, I was told by-physicians that if I wanted to prolong my life, I would have to retire from active practice.
My entire life has been changed since I took up the study of Christian Science. When it was first presented to me many years ago, I was a semi-invalid and had spent most of my time in bed.
The words of Jesus, "Seek, and ye shall find" ( Matt. 7:7 ), have definitely proved themselves true in my experience.
The Psalmist wrote, "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" ( Ps. 107:15.
I am grateful for Christian Science, for it means everything to me. I did not begin the study of this religion because of the need of a physical healing, but because I had been told that it was God-inspired and that it was based on the teachings of Christ Jesus.
At one time I was suffering from what was diagnosed as a very severe case of hyperthyroidism. I was extremely nervous, had lost much weight, and there was a serious heart condition.
In March, 1900, I accepted Christian Science, and I have studied it faithfully ever since. My little girl was healed of catarrh of the stomach within ten days through the work of a consecrated student of Christian Science.
With a heart overflowing with gratitude I wish to thank God for Christ Jesus, our great Way-shower, and for Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader, who gave us this wonderful truth.

Gratefully and sincerely I offer this testimony as evidence of the healing and regenerative power of Christian Science. I shall always be grateful to a kind and loving aunt who gave me my first contact with this beautiful religion by enrolling me in the Christian Science Sunday School when I was a small boy.
