Testimonies of Healing
The study and application of Christian Science have never failed to give me comfort and assurance. Before becoming interested in this Science, I sought the answer to my questions through persons and things.
In the spring of 1921 I had a complete breakdown while suffering from rheumatism. At the hot springs where I went for treatment I improved rapidly.
In my early childhood my mother was raised from a life of invalidism, due to an accident, to active usefulness as a practicing Christian Scientist. As a result of the protective influence of Christian Science, I never had a serious illness and escaped almost entirely the various so-called children's diseases.
One Wednesday evening while attending the testimony meeting at our local Christian Science church, I experienced a beautiful healing. When the first hymn was announced, I realized that I had forgotten to bring my glasses with me.

I wish to express humble gratitude for the many healings I have experienced in Christian Science. It was about thirteen years ago that I attended my first lecture and became much interested.
During the First World War, while living in Seattle, I heard much arguing for and against Christian Science by various members of my husband's family. It aroused in me a curiosity to learn more about this Science which had created so much controversial conversation.
