Testimonies of Healing

In the utilization and practice of Christian Science we understand that the healing of a minor ailment or the harmonious adjustment of a slight misunderstanding between persons is as definite a proof of the dependability and exactitude of this Science as is the healing of a so-called incurable disease or the clearing up of a seemingly hopeless situation. At times there may be a reluctance to give a testimony of the countless proofs of God's care and love for His children, because the experiences have not been of astonishing proportions.

My heart is filled to overflowing with gratitude for the blessings that have come to my family and me through the study and application of Christian Science, as taught by Mary Baker Eddy in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and her other writings. I was reared in the Lutheran faith, and from my earliest childhood loved the Bible, especially the New Testament.

It is with a grateful heart that I verify the above testimony of my wife. We are glad for the seeming trials that have led us to Christian Science and its healing message of Life, Truth, and Love.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science. Before I was led to this beautiful religion I was a sincere believer in the omnipotence of God.

I want to express gratitude for God's tender care, for Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science and Leader of the Christian Science movement. About sixteen years ago, while getting ready to go to the hospital for treatment for rheumatism, I received an invitation to spend a few days at a friend's home.

Christian Science came into my life in 1933, at a time when I seemed to be in a hopeless position, but within a very short time the entire condition had changed, and I found myself free and in possession of a great fortune, a fortune more bountiful than any material currency could give—the truth about God, man, and the universe as revealed by Christian Science. After I had known of Science for a short time, I was without a home and was earning only a very small salary, insufficient to pay for apartment, food, and clothing.

I wish to express gratitude for Christian Science. Several years ago I roomed in the home of a Christian Scientist.

I realize more each day that the only way I can ever really express my gratitude for the joy, happiness, abundant supply, protection, and healings I have had through Christian Science is to live the truth we are taught. Over twenty years ago I attended for the first time a Christian Science service.

It is my desire to relate the blessings that have come to me and mine through the study and application of the truths of Christian Science. Christian Science has been the only physician in our home.
