Testimonies of Healing

It is with a sincere desire to share my blessings with others that I testify to the healing efficacy of Christian Science. This Science was presented to me by a medical nurse at a time when I not only was suffering from a so-called infectious disease, but was in great mental darkness, suspected of being a mild form of insanity.

Previous to my healing in Christian Science, I was seldom without a cigarette in my hand and to me the healing of this habit was very wonderful because I was so beautifully protected from the questioning of friends, not one of them noticing until weeks afterward that I was not smoking. I always knew that it would be necessary to overcome this habit if I wished to progress in Science, but I was so completely in bondage to it that when I attempted to stop it— which I did several times for a week or so, and always with a practitioner working for me—I could not seem to think intelligently or drive a car correctly.

In the early '80's an aunt of mine wrote to a Christian Science practitioner in a distant city, stating that she had been operated upon twice for a cancerous growth, that it had returned in a worse and more painful form, and that she had become, because of her suffering, a sad victim of the drug habit. Through absent treatment this aunt received immediate relief and was completely healed within several weeks.

My father began the study of Christian Science when I was a child. Previous to his investigation of this Science, he resolutely denied the existence of God, and he thought that to have arrived at such a conclusion was indicative of very profound and logical thinking.

Gratitude urges me to write this testimony of the healings that have come to me through Christian Science. Many years ago I was very ill.

With deep gratitude I express my appreciation and love of Christian Science. Having been brought up in the orthodox Jewish manner, I had little acquaintance with that Book of books, the Bible.

I was never of a religious nature in the sense of church going and Bible reading, still I had faith in a Supreme Being whom I knew not how to reach. I started to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy while seeking healing for another.

On page 494 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy we are told that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need. " During the past seven years I have had the blessed privilege of proving the truth of this statement many times.

Numberless blessings have come to my family and to me through Christian Science. It has given us a faith which we can use every hour of the day.

Many years ago someone was kind enough to introduce me to the words "Christian Science," and since then I have learned somewhat of their meaning and how to apply the truth in everything that I do; and I have experienced untold blessings therefrom. Financial problems have been solved by obedience to the rules of Christian Science, seeming injustices have been seen as blessings to all concerned, and wrongs have been righted.
