Testimonies of Healing

In John we find these words of Jesus: "To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. " As one of his followers, it is my duty and blessed privilege to bear loving witness to the truth as set forth by him centuries ago and as discovered and revealed to the world by Mary Baker Eddy in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and her other writings.

Christian Science has been such a great blessing in my life that only by consecrating the best in me to helping others see the truth can I ever repay in a measure all I have gained through its tender ministrations. Like countless others I too appreciate this privilege of joining the Psalmist in saying, "I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

Mrs. Eddy says on page 68 of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures": "Christian Science presents unfoldment, not accretion; it manifests no material growth from molecule to mind, but an impartation of the divine Mind to man and the universe.

I have had many healings in Christian Science, but the one that stands out most clearly is my first, because it proved to me beyond a shadow of doubt that Christian Science is indeed the truth, which Christ Jesus said "shall make you free. " In May, 1918, at the age of fifteen, I was taken to a hospital after being in bed four months under the care of doctors.

Christian Science came to me nineteen years ago. I attended a Wednesday evening testimony meeting at The Mother Church with a friend, and shall never forget the peace and calmness that I experienced as I entered the auditorium.

At birth my fontanelle extended halfway down my forehead. I was carried on pillows for several months.

Christian Science came into my experience when I was a young girl, and although it was not needed for physical healing for several years, it was to me a most beautiful religion. As years passed and the need of healing was presented, only Christian Science was used, and always with the best results.

[Original testimony in German] Deep gratitude impels me to testify to a wonderful healing which I experienced through Christian Science. In January, 1927, I gave birth to a little daughter.

When about six years of age I was taken to a funeral. I could not understand why God should take away a person's loved ones, and I lost all faith in Him.

When I think of what I wasbefore Christian Science came to me and what I am now, words are not available to express my peace and harmony and contentment. I have been healed of hay fever, constipation, car sickness, and crossed eyes by just gaining a better understanding of man's relationship to God, through the study of Christian Science.
