Testimonies of Healing
When quite a young girl I first heard of Christian Science through the healing of a much loved sister. Reputable physicians had said that she would never be able to walk again.
When still a young student of Christian Science I experienced a very painful sinus infection. I sought aid in Christian Science but seemed to receive no benefit.
Some years ago our eldest girl was troubled with tubercular glands. She was only five years old, but had been through three operations with only temporary results.
About twelve years ago I was laboring under what is known as a nervous breakdown. Receiving little help from the kindest medical attention, in a moment of despair, hungrily reaching out for help, I asked my physician what would aid my helpless, despondent condition.
I wish to express my gratitude to Christian Science for the healing of an injured hand, as well as for the many other healings which I have experienced in the past twelve years. My entire right hand was crushed in a job printing press, the type on the form which was being printed cutting about a quarter of an inch into the flesh.
It is a privilege to testify to the efficacy of Christian Science. I have had numerous proofs of its power to bless.
It is with a great sense of gratitude that I wish to give my testimony of blessings I have received in Christian Science. It was through the healing of a son that I first took up the reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
Mere words cannot express my gratitude for Christian Science, which was brought to me by a loving practitioner almost seven years ago. I knew very little about this Science and was eager to have it explained.
I First learned of Christian Science through my mother-in-law, who took me to a lecture which aroused in me a great desire to know more of God and of His laws. From this time I took up the study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
Nearly sixteen years ago a neighbor made the statement that through Christian Science she had been relieved of the fear of taking cold when she realized that if God is everywhere there is no place for harmful winds. That way of acknowledging only one God was so reasonable to me that I wanted to know more of the teachings of this religion, and eagerly read copies of the Christian Science Sentinel and The Christian Science Monitor.
