Testimonies of Healing
In appreciation of the many blessings which I have received through the application of Christian Science I offer this testimony. God has been my only physician in the past few years, and He has never failed me at any time.
On page 306 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, occurs this statement: "Undisturbed amid the jarring testimony of the material senses, Science, still enthroned, is unfolding to mortals the immutable, harmonious, divine Principle,—is unfolding Life and the universe, ever present and eternal. " For twenty-four years I have been a student of this Science, and during this time the unfolding spoken of above has been going on in my consciousness with healing results.
My first healing after taking up the study of Christian Science was that of intense grief. A great sense of loss gripped me after my husband passed on very suddenly.
Christian Science came into my life when I was a girl of about sixteen years of age. I had suffered from a catarrhal condition for a number of years, as well as from other physical disturbances.
One of the blessings for which I can express sincere gratitude has been the privilege of reading the testimonies of healing appearing in the periodicals, for it was through this channel that divine Love guided me when all human aid failed; and the desire to read them and rejoice with those who are demonstrating the healing efficacy of Christian Science has grown through the years. My first experience of the application of the truth as taught by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, was truly a revelation to me, as I had not believed such a proof possible in this world.
In the summer of 1929 I was taken ill with severe heart and nerve trouble which chained me to a sick bed for a long time. The physician did what he could for me, but was able to help me very little.
I am indeed grateful to Mrs. Eddy for having established the Board of Lectureship, for it was at a Christian Science lecture that I was healed.
I am one of the many who have come into Christian Science for healing. My first healing was of chronic kidney trouble.
Sincere gratitude for all the good that I have received through the healing truth of Christian Science prompts me to give my testimony. About seventeen years ago Christian Science was made known to me by a friend in California who had been healed of asthma.
My heart goes out in love and gratitude to God for Christian Science. For all the wonderful things it is doing for me, I try to show my appreciation by my living.
