Testimonies of Healing

We were greatly disappointed in this search, however, as my husband grew steadily worse, and I was compelled to seek employment in order to support our family of four.

While I realize that no offering of mine can cancel my debt of gratitude, it is my earnest desire to help others reap the benefits of Christian Science, making these expressions of gratitude possible. I had often wondered why I failed so utterly to understand the Bible.

I have long cherished a sincere desire to express my gratitude for the help I have received through the study and application of the truths of Christian Science Mind-healing. Though I have come, perhaps, but a few steps in my journey Spiritward, I have had many clear demonstrations of the ever-presence of God, good, and the power of divine Mind.

Seventeen years ago I was healed of a goiter through reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

First of all I am grateful to kind friends who were an influence for good in my life even before I knew about Christian Science. I am grateful to remember that my mother loved the Bible and went to it for help, and for her endeavor to teach her children to appreciate the Bible and to pray.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science, and also with a desire to help others, that I give this testimony. In November, 1914, I decided to try Christian Science to see if it could heal, for I felt it would be useless for me to continue medical treatment.

Christian Science , as revealed to us by Mary Baker Eddy, has so changed my whole viewpoint and my way of thinking, and thereby brought such joy, health, peace, and happiness into my life, that I must try to express some of the gratitude which I feel so deeply. My husband, before we were married, had had a wonderful healing of ivy poisoning through the help of a practitioner, but had not taken up the study of Christian Science.

Like many others I can testify to the truth of the statement that ''man's extremity is God's opportunity. " Until the time I was led to take up the study of Christian Science, I had been an active worker in a Protestant church, but I was not receiving the help and comfort that I needed and for which I was searching.

For all the blessings that have come into our home through the study and application of Christian Science, I desire to express my sincere gratitude. I wish to tell of a healing that came after earnest study was given to a thought given out by one of our Christian Science lecturers.
