Testimonies of Healing

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for all it has done for me and my family. When I turned to it ten years ago I was suffering from tuberculosis, pleurisy, and an internal disorder that a physician had said could not be cured without an operation.

My first contact with Christian Science was when, as a small child, I witnessed the healing of a member of my family of invalidism through studying the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Her progress was rapid until she reached the stage where it would be necessary to acknowledge Mrs.

We have had many lovely proofs of the healing power of Truth and Love; so I am writing of this one in order that others may benefit by it, as we have been helped by reading other testimonies. One day our little boy, then three years old, complained that his leg hurt him.

It is with the deepest gratitude to Mrs. Eddy and the loving practitioners that I confirm my mother's testimony.

I am very grateful for the privilege of testifying to the healing and saving power of Christian Science. When I walked into a Christian Science Reading Room in London, England, over seven years ago, it was at a time in my life when I had lost sight of God, and seemed to be without hope in the world.

Christian Science was presented to me about twenty years ago while we were living in Colorado, where we had gone in search of health for my husband. We were greatly disappointed in this search, however, as my husband grew steadily worse, and I was compelled to seek employment in order to support our family of four.

While I realize that no offering of mine can cancel my debt of gratitude, it is my earnest desire to help others reap the benefits of Christian Science, making these expressions of gratitude possible. I had often wondered why I failed so utterly to understand the Bible.

I have long cherished a sincere desire to express my gratitude for the help I have received through the study and application of the truths of Christian Science Mind-healing. Though I have come, perhaps, but a few steps in my journey Spiritward, I have had many clear demonstrations of the ever-presence of God, good, and the power of divine Mind.
