Testimonies of Healing

Only as we perfect our concept of God and man, and act so as to conform to God's image, can we prove our gratitude for the understanding we have gained. I, also, am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church.

" Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. " With this as a beginning, I should like to relate my wonderful, yet very simple healing through Christian Science.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I verify the above testimony of my mother. I, too, have been healed of many discordant conditions.

Through God's loving mercy I was healed ten years ago when I turned to Christian Science for help. I had been in bed six months on a liquid diet, and had been almost an invalid for several years prior to that time.

" Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest," is the promise of Christian Science to all mankind. I can give grateful testimony to the rich fulfillment of this promise in my own experience.

My first impression of Christian Science filled me with antagonism and resentment toward Mrs. Eddy, and toward those who found interest in what she had written.

For years I had known there was such an organization as the Christian Science church, but I knew nothing of its teachings. Then I was told of the healing of one whom I had long known.

I am so grateful for what Christian Science has done for me and mine that I should like to add my testimony, hoping it will help someone as others have so often helped me. Over two years ago I was taken with a severe pain in my side.

It is not so often in our hours of ease that we gain the clearest understanding of God's healing, saving power, as in those testing times when error is screaming its loudest, endeavoring to destroy the Christ-idea. This has been true through all the ages, as well as in modern times, and it was true in my experience.

Over nineteen years ago I was healed through one week's absent treatment in Christian Science of so-called hereditary asthma, from which I had suffered since a very young girl. There has been no return of this trouble.
