Testimonies of Healing

It is with deep gratitude that I testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. I shall never cease to be grateful to the friend who first told me about this truth.

I should like to express my thanks for the spiritual gifts that have been showered on me through Christian Science, and for its beloved Leader. I am very grateful for the help this Science has been to me, pointing the right way for me and for my children, eliminating discord and strife in the home, and in its place bringing harmony and employment for us, nearly always "in pleasant places.

Believing that those who have experienced the wonderful healings made available through the study of Christian Science owe to humanity a fitting recognition of the same in testimony, in this spirit I offer the following. In the year 1907 my attention was drawn to the study of Christian Science through having treatment for my daughter, a girl of fourteen, who was suffering with what the physicians called acute asthma.

It is with a heart full of gratitude to God and to our dear Leader that I wish to give this testimony. I did not come into Christian Science for a physical healing.

Profound gratitude and the help and encouragement I have received from reading other testimonies prompt me to write of help and healings I have experienced through Christian Science. From my first awakening, I have been grateful to its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy.

I am deeply grateful to Christian Science for all the good it has brought into my life. Not only have I been healed physically, but I have also become more happy and hopeful.

For ten years it has been my privilege to be a student of Christian Science, and from the first, healings of many difficulties were manifested in our family. Among them were nearly all the so-called children's diseases, the disappearance of adenoids, which had caused very labored breathing, blood poisoning, hives, ivy poisoning, wasp stings, and a knee, badly cut by a fall on a perforated iron mat.

I consider it not only a duty and a privilege to give a testimony of the wonderful experiences I have had in Christian Science, but also a glorious opportunity to count my blessings. To those wishing for some assurance as to the efficacy of Christian Science I can say that it has met every need of a family of five for over sixteen years.

I feel that I must send in my testimony to show, like others, my appreciation of all that Christian Science has done for me. About three years ago I was healed of a very peculiar form of fits from which I had suffered for over three years.
