I have been an adherent of Christian Science for quite a while and would like to tell of the benefits derived therefrom. About a year ago, around Christmas, my eight year old boy became afflicted with a diseased condition of the tonsils, the swelling being very large and hard. I did not seek medical advice but had him treated by a Christian Science practitioner. The pain then left him, and the practitioner told me that through this metaphysical treatment the swelling would disappear without the use of material means. After the boy had been treated for some time this condition was completely eliminated.
My daughter had been troubled since she was four years of age with growths in the throat, and they often necessitated her being under medical care. Even after she submitted to an operation the trouble returned whenever she contracted the slightest cold, but it was healed completely with six treatments in Christian Science. As for me, I had for years been a sufferer with rheumatic gout and left no remedy untried in order to get rid of this ailment. I tried many drugs but was benefited by none, and often was unable to leave my bed for five or six weeks at a time. When last fall the same trouble again manifested itself, I applied to a Christian Science practitioner for help. In three days the pain had disappeared, and two weeks later I was able to walk.
I am also experiencing the beneficent influence of Christian Science in my business dealings. My endeavor is to assimilate more of the truth contained in this beautiful teaching and to try by right thinking to live in accordance with Christian Science.
