I am one of the many who have come into Christian Science for healing. My first healing was of chronic kidney trouble. It was at a time when there was scarcely a ray of hope for my recovery and I was growing worse each day, taking medicine every few hours, that a loving friend came to visit me and brought me the joyful message of Truth as revealed to us in Christian Science. With faithful study and loving help from a practitioner I was healed within a few weeks.
I have also been healed of neuralgia in its worst form, of sore throat, and of chronic tonsillitis, from which I had suffered since early childhood, and which medical opinions said would never be relieved except by an operation. Sick headaches which kept me in bed for days at a time have been permanently healed.
Eighteen years ago I was instantaneously healed of gallstones through absent treatment, thus proving what our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, says in"Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p.179) : "Science can heal the sick, who are absent from their healers, as well as those present, since space is no obstacle to Mind." The healing was complete, and I have never had the trouble since.
