PERFECT TIMING

From the April 1959 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"That was a perfect piece of timing!" we hear people say of an athlete, a musician, a dancer, an actor, a flight contestant. All professional persons, as well as businessmen and homemakers, know the importance of doing things at the right time.

Yet only Christian Science enables that perfect timing which, paradoxically, gives us complete freedom from time, freedom from pressure, from rush, from procrastination. Only Christian Science gives us that understanding of God as infinite Life which masters limitation and unfolds orderly living.

The musician or athlete accepts strict self-discipline in order to perform with correct timing. The Christian Scientist accepts the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Christ Jesus as his basic rules of conduct, and the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy as his textbooks.
