GOD'S KINGDOM, POWER, AND GLORY, FOREVER

From the April 1959 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The last line of the Lord's Prayer given in the Gospel of Matthew (6:13), "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever," has been referred to as a doxology or form of praise to God. It constitutes an affirmation or statement of God's allness, now and eternally.

A larger sense of God's kingdom is unfolding to many today through Christian Science. This larger sense of His kingdom is accompanied by an ever-expanding understanding of His power and glory.

Heaven and earth—the entire spiritual universe—are God's and hence are perfect. When we comprehend the kingdom of God in its spiritual aspect, we are able to demonstrate His power and His glory here and now.
