My mother's daily example of a life dedicated to the teachings of Christian Science in gratitude for her healing of what had been medically diagnosed as an incurable heart disease has been an unceasing source of encouragement to me in meeting successfully the many challenges encountered in my progress Spiritward.
A severe eye infection resulted in the need for me to wear glasses; but I was healed, and the glasses were later discarded as a direct result of the application of the truths I had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School. Pneumonia, accompanied by lapses into delirium, was healed with the help of a Christian Science practitioner.
Later a prolonged attack of physical and nervous exhaustion, brought on by an overloaded and intense schedule of study in preparation for a college degree, was healed through Christian Science treatment while I was staying as a guest at one of the Christian Science Benevolent Association Sanatoriums.
