No hostage

From the March 1983 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I'm never hostage in the hands of dreams.
I live in dreamless Truth, reality.
Mind is not asleep in thorny theorems.
Intelligence is creedless, love-filled, free.
No dreamland captive has to be unchained
and led away from sickness, sin, and hate.
Love is hostageless, God's right sustained.
Man is eternally immaculate
in every phase of pure obedience,
unheld by brazen fear and self-willed doubt.
No cruel captors hide intelligence
in drowsy regions truths don't know about.
Liberty is Spirit-guaranteed.
Knowing man, God's likeness—infinite—
frees us from error. Angels supersede.
There are no shadow chains at memory's feet.
