"...transforming the universe" A Workshop on the Christian Science textbook

From the February 1990 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Nothing about the new book was conventional.

Though it became the major text for a new Christian denomination, it wasn't a collection of creeds. Though it laid great stress on morality, it didn't outline myriad rules for human behavior. Though it claimed to articulate the Comforter promised by Jesus, it also caused great stirring.

Few readers were neutral about the book. Some were outraged. Many were healed.
