Church unity

From the April 2011 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The grand cathedral stands so tall,

Resplendent, with its buttressed wall.

But looking close, you soon will see

How, stone on stone, it came to be.

Some stones are big and some are small.

The church needs each or it would fall.

Our spires, too, will strongly rise,

Mortared by healings in our lives.

Each living stone upholds its part,

As hand in hand, and heart to heart . . .

. . . we build.
