A few years ago I had a wonderful, clear-cut example of Christian Science healing. I don’t know what the physical challenge would have been called, but it seemed life-threatening.
It started with pain in my chest, which would sometimes leave me feeling dizzy. The pain was disconcerting, but it always abated, and I would go on with my life.
Gradually, the pain occurred more frequently, and I became quite frightened. During a week when I was on vacation skiing, I was hesitant to even ride the chairlift, in case something serious happened and I couldn’t get off. I would pray fervently from the moment I got on the chairlift until I got off, and was grateful to make it safely through the week.
