Testimonies of Healing

After four years of suffering from a stomach condition claimed to be hereditary, and for which there seemed to be no permanent relief under medical treatment, Christian Science was recommended to me by a friend, who at the same time gave me a Christian Science Sentinel. After reading and rereading the articles and testimonies given there, I decided to purchase a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

A few years ago, through several Christian Scientists of this city letting their light shine, my husband and I were led to get the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. After reading the chapter on Prayer I regretted ever having entertained wrong thoughts about Mrs.

Christian Science has revolutionized my thinking; therefore, it has regenerated my life. I have received many beautiful physical healings; but wonderful as these have been, it is the spiritual regeneration of which I wish to write.

Filled with a sense of gratitude, I wish to testify to the blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. In the month of November, 1921, I was suddenly taken with great pain in the rectum.

Having lived under the guidance and protecting influence of Christian Science all my life, I know that I have a very great deal for which to be thankful. While a student at school I experienced what seemed to me two remarkable demonstrations.

It is now over eighteen years since I was healed in Christian Science. Previous to this healing I had stomach and bowel trouble, which caused me a great deal of suffering.

Christian Science has healed me physically, mentally, morally, and spiritually, but I came to it in the first place not so much for healing as because I wanted to find the truth. I had read something in almost every philosophy and religion in my search for Truth, only to find in every instance that I was on the wrong track; therefore I approached Christian Science with much hesitation.

I find words inadequate to express my gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through the gentle ministry of Christian Science. I first heard of Christian Science while visiting in the West, but gave little thought to it at the time.

Christian Science has been to me the Comforter in sorrow and the healer in sickness. I came to Christian Science seeking healing for my youngest child.

Eleven years ago I turned to Christian Science for help. At that time I was suffering with a nervous breakdown.
