Testimonies of Healing
The greatest blessings that have ever come to me have been the result of my study and application of Christian Science. About eleven years ago, some dear friends invited me to attend services in a Christian Science church.
About a year ago I was stricken down with acute indigestion. I was in great pain and distress.
I became interested in Christian Science about eighteen years ago. A friend gave me some of the literature and I read, night after night, until eleven or twelve o'clock.
During the years that I have known of Christian Science, many blessings have been received, and for some time my desire has been to express my gratitude through the Journal or the Sentinel for the great joy which this beautiful truth has brought to me. My daughter, now fourteen years of age, has had nothing but Christian Science treatment for her help since she was four years old.
I desire to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. In the spring of 1910, I turned to Christian Science for help, and was healed of what the doctors called a complication of diseases.
About five years ago I became interested in Christian Science, and I want to express my most sincere gratitude for all the blessings I have received through a slight understanding of this wonderful religion. I came to Science more to satisfy a longing for God than because of ill health.
Nine years ago I had my first Christian Science treatment. Like many others I came to Christian Science for physical healing.
Fourteen years ago I was healed of the tobacco habit in one treatment in Christian Science. Since that time I have not used tobacco in any form, nor had any desire to do so.
Eight years ago I was led to accept Christian Science through the instantaneous healing of my boy, who was considered a delicate child. We were living in South America at the time, where my son attended a school belonging to two Christian Scientists.
Christian Science came into my life at a time when we had experienced a sense of great loss and sorrow in our home. It was truly demonstrated to us that "earth has no sorrow but Love can remove.
