Testimonies of Healing

It is with deep gratitude that I give my testimony of the healing power of Christian Science, in the hope that it may help others to realize that neither conditions nor surroundings can interrupt the channels of Truth, as we are taught in Christian Science. Our Leader, Mrs.

About four years ago I was awakened to the necessity of proving Christian Science in my daily life, instead of using it merely as a remedy in time of illness. Christian Science had been in our home for a number of years, but I had studied it very little, and the basic demand for spiritual growth had never been brought out for me until I wished very much to help a friend.

Through the truth which our dear Leader has explained, we find that Immanuel, or "God with us," is just as effective today as when Jesus trod the hills of Galilee nineteen centuries ago, and proved by demonstration that Truth alone makes man free from sin, disease, and death. Although I have not found the pathway of Science strewn with roses, I have known only peace and hope and joy.

I have much for which to be thankful, but when I try to tell of my blessings I hardly know where to begin. My first acquaintance with Christian Science was not the result of my own need for healing, but a dear friend for whom it had done much brought it to my attention.

I am very grateful for the benefits which Christian Science has brought me. I have been healed of pleurisy and stomach trouble, from which I suffered severely at frequent intervals for many years.

There is a story of ten lepers who were healed by Christ Jesus, and only one of them, "when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God. " It has come to me that I too should "turn back" to acknowledge the benefits which I have received through Christian Science, and give it the glory due.

I am very grateful for what Christian Science is doing for me and my family, and I send these few words in the hope of helping some one. A mother said to me a short time ago: "Do you trust your little boy to Christian Science treatment? I should think you would be afraid, when he is ill.

NEARLY thirty years ago, Christian Science was brought to what proved to be the death-bed of a loved one, by a lady who had been healed by its ministrations and who was the wife of a minister in an eastern town. Not understanding Christian Science, however, and firmly believing that materia medica would effect a cure, I refused even to permit this teaching to be mentioned in the sick-room.

I cannot but give expression to my sense of deep gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. In May, 1912, I was takes ill with jaundice in the most acute form, but was healed through the ministration of a Christian Scientist within a very short time.

I wish to testify to the efficacy of God's love in the healing of my son. Winter after winter, from the time he was a baby until he was fifteen years old, he had suffered from attacks of influenza which kept him in bed and out of school for periods varying from two weeks to two months.
