Testimonies of Healing

While I was in my late teens, I was involved with what are today referred to as "recreational drugs. " One evening I found myself suffering the effects of LSD—hallucinations and all.

Since I first began to study Christian Science, many of those who have discovered that this is my religion and way of life have asked the same question regarding healing— "What if .

So many healings have come to me through the practice of Christian Science. The first I will share took place a couple of summers ago when my parents, my small son, and I went to a neighboring state to visit my grandparents for a few days.

For more than thirty-five years I have relied entirely on Christian Science for healing. As a teen-ager I was introduced to Science by a young man who later became my husband.

Several years ago I moved to a city in the southwestern United States. When I arrived I was in pain, quite ill, and very frightened.

My first exposure to Christian Science came when I was in college and a friend, who is a Christian Scientist, invited me to go with her to the Sunday School. In retrospect, I don't know why I agreed to go, because I hadn't much use for religion at the time.

I am very grateful to have been raised in Christian Science and to have depended on it all my life for healing. A few years ago, I was at work on the 3 to 11 p.

Forty years ago the world was a dark, unfriendly, and cruel place. At least that was my view of it.
