Testimonies of Healing

For a long time I have wished to submit a testimony of the healing and regenerating effect of Christian Science. This religion was brought into my life through the healing of my mother when I was a small child.

In April, 1964, I had a loss which gave me a great shock. I could not understand why things had not worked out the way I felt they should have.

The past thirteen years of study in Christian Science have been the most wonderful years of my life. I am thrilled to have let go of the belief that it was up to me personally to keep myself healthy.

Christian Science came into my life through my grandfather, who was a consecrated student of Christian Science. I am very grateful for this blessing.

For over thirty years Christian Science has been my only physician, my protector, my way of life. My first healing was that of a disastrously unhappy marriage which had put me in such a state of despair that the thought of going on living was almost more than I could bear.

I was enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School when I was four years old. I attended Sunday School up to the age of eighteen, and then began a wilderness experience which took me away from the right path for six years.

This testimony is given as an expression of deep gratitude for Mrs. Eddy for her wonderful foresight of humanity's needs in establishing both the Christian Science Sunday School and the Christian Science Reading Room as an integral part of The Church of Christ, Scientist.

This testimony is to give sincere and earnest thanks for a perfect healing of defective eyesight and for laying off glasses, which I used for some twenty years. On two occasions I asked for help on this problem from faithful, consecrated Christian Science practitioners.

In the early nineteen fifties I was on the point of returning home to England after a visit to my mother in Sweden, when I became suddenly ill with rheumatoid arthritis. As my mother was a practitioner listed in the Journal and I myself an interested student of Christian Science, we.

I was enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School at the age of seven, and I remember my early years as happily free from illness and medical care. When on rare occasions a few childhood ailments did appear, they were quickly healed through Christian Science.
