Testimonies of Healing

It is a great privilege to express my gratitude for Christian Science. I was not always aware that the expressions of gratitude are steppingstones to a larger understanding of God.

These words of Jesus ( Matt. 10:8 ), "Freely ye have received, freely give," made me realize that I have received many blessings for which I have not expressed my gratitude.

I am very grateful for the joyous experience of having been reared in Christian Science. An outstanding healing came into my life when I was ten years of age.

I should like to testify to the joy and inspiration that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. It has met my every need since 1933.

In the Bible we read ( Ex. 23:20 ), "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

When visiting another city on business, I met a friend who asked me to go with him to church that evening. It was a Wednesday; and I thought it a strange invitation, for I had always associated church services with Sundays.

I should like to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has meant to me. It has been my only physician since early childhood; and through the application of its teachings, I have been healed of every physical difficulty with which I have been confronted.

" Are we really grateful for the good already received? Then we shall avail ourselves of the blessings we have, and thus be fitted to receive more. " These words by our beloved Leader, Mrs.

" The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage" ( Ps. 16:6 ).

As a child I was not satisfied with half measures. I had to get to the bottom of things, and at an early age I began to inquire into the meaning of life and became a restless seeker for truth and light.
