Testimonies of Healing
Christian Scientists soon learn that their textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, is literally a treasure house of truths, any one of which is capable of healing them of human ills. One morning during an influenza epidemic I found it extremely difficult to rise and was able to do so only after considerable effort.
It is wonderful and comforting to know that Christian Science is indeed the second appearing of the Christ, Truth, on earth today and that it is able to heal every ill. Of this healing truth I have had many proofs.
The fruitage which has come into my experience since Christian Science first began to influence my thought and conduct many years ago has been indescribably rich. My first blessing, which was due to the spiritual-mindedness of a Christian Science lecturer, was that I received its teachings in the way described in the chapter on Fruitage in Science and Health by Mrs.

Through this Science I have experienced many physical healings, including that of a severe case of astigmatism.

When confronted with what seemed to me unbearable loneliness and responsibility during the absence of my husband, whose work took him out of the state, I began to read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I felt that I needed spiritual power to sustain me, and I found the way to know God and to depend upon Him through reading that divinely inspired book.
Christian Science first came to me as the Comforter when I saw a copy of the Journal in the home of a high school friend. I did not know anything about Science at the time, but as I read the Journal, its message seemed to offer anchorage and refuge from a confused world and disturbed human relationships.
If I were asked to tell of all the wonderful blessings that have come to me and mine through the teachings of Christian Science, I should have to say with the Psalmist ( Ps. 40:5 ), "They are more than can be numbered.
