Testimonies of Healing

After studying Christian Science for several years, I realized that although I thought I understood a little of the letter, I had not grasped the spirit of this Science. I had no occupation, and I had no skill by which to earn my own living.

I experienced my first healing in Christian Science during the influenza epidemic of 1919. I was then living in my parents' home whilst my husband served abroad in the Army.

All the good that has come into my experience during the past fifteen years I owe to Christian Science. At a time in my life when man's extremity was God's opportunity, I prayed for the light and was led to investigate the teachings of Christian Science.

About fourteen years ago a young college student, a Christian Scientist, was staying in my home. She lived very close to the teachings of Christian Science, and this made a great impression on me.

I have been healed, blessed, and comforted many times during the years in which I have been a student of Christian Science. One healing for which I am very grateful is that of chronic sick headaches.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science that I write this testimony. In Isaiah we read ( 65: 24 ), "And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
