Testimonies of Healing

I should like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science. Some nine years ago I had reached a point in my experience where there seemed little worth living for.

" Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. " I want to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science and tell what it did for me in an hour of great need.

Christian Science has been "a very present help" to me. A few months before I was born my mother took up the study of this beautiful religion, and it has been a source of comfort, being applicable to every need and problem that arises.

It is with deepest gratitude to God for all that Christian Science has done for me and for my family during the last twenty-seven years that I offer this testimony. I heard of this Science through a friend who, when I was in dire distress, lent me her copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

For many years I have enjoyed the innumerable blessings of Christian Science. There have been many lovely healings too, for which our gratitude is unbounded.

By the time I had left home for professional training in a large city, I had received a basic appreciation of Christian Science in the Sunday school. As a result, I was both ready and willing to continue attending the Sunday school regularly in the new locality, and later to become a member of the Christian Science church there.

In deep gratitude I wish to give this testimony. When Christian Science was presented to me, seventeen years ago, I was passing through deep waters.

Loving gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy and a desire to help others as I have been helped, impel me to write of a healing of rheumatoid arthritis.

Christian Science has wrought many healings in our home, and impatience and criticism are gradually being replaced with patience, tolerance, and thoughtfulness. My first introduction to Christian Science was through witnessing a neighbor's healing of mastoiditis and another's recovery from the effects of an automobile accident.

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and its innumerable blessings, such as joy, peace, harmony, happiness, health, supply, and an abundance of good. About fifteen years ago this glorious truth was presented to me when I was suffering from an organic disorder, which had caused distress for about three years.
