Testimonies of Healing

I have been the recipient of many blessings through Christian Science. Over a period of years it has guided, protected, and upheld me.

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science, which is daily unfolding more of God's blessings in my life. It is twenty years since I received an immediate healing of pneumonia.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p. 372 ), our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, lovingly reminds us, "In Christian Science, a denial of Truth is fatal, while a just acknowledgment of Truth and of what it has done for us is an effectual help.

Because I live on a farm and do not have the privilege of attending church services, I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science through the literature. I came to the United States from Denmark when I was fifteen years old, and found myself confronted with two great problems—that of learning a new language and of finding employment.

In these days of stress and turmoil it seems fitting that those who have experienced the blessings of God's protection through a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science, should express their gratitude in order to help others facing similar experiences. As one who has been through the Battle of Britain, I am grateful to give this testimony.

In early childhood Christian Science came into my life through a friend of my mother's who spent her summers in the little seaport town which was then my home. Mere words cannot express my gratitude to this practitioner for her loving care of our family when we were children.

Several years ago a cousin told me something of Christian Science. Although no impression was apparently made on me at the time, the seed was sown.

Christian Science has brought much joy. health, and freedom to me for many years.

It is with much joy and gratitude that I send this testimony with the hope that others may receive benefits such as I have received from reading the testimonies in the periodicals. I have had so many blessings through the study and application of Christian Science that it is hard to choose the ones which have brought the greatest benefit.

It has been thirty years since I first felt the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. According to medical law, I was doomed from my birth because of inherited neuralgia and weak lungs.
