Testimonies of Healing

Through the study of Christian Science I have trusted in God for many years, and it is with gratitude that I submit this testimony to its healing power. I was led to become a student of this Science by my small son, who had a nervous difficulty that had not been healed.

Christian Science has so regenerated me that it is difficult to express in words my humble gratitude for the many blessings that I have received through its study and application. "Step by step will those who trust Him find that 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

It is a great privilege and blessing to be a part of the Christian Science movement, and for this and all its activities I am most humbly grateful to God. My son, now in high school, has always attended Sunday school.

Since beginning the study of Christian Science I have had many healings, some of which were those of colds, constipation, and ivy poisoning, and I have been able to prove the availability of God's protective care. In humble gratitude I offer this testimony.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science and for all it has done for me and mine. My mother taught me to take everything to God in prayer, and although I tried to do so, and had many proofs of His care, I was not well.

About six years ago I was healed of a tumor, feared malignant, through reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I read it on the recommendation of a friend, but did not understand at the time what had brought about my healing.

I have been the recipient of many blessings through Christian Science. Over a period of years it has guided, protected, and upheld me.

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science, which is daily unfolding more of God's blessings in my life. It is twenty years since I received an immediate healing of pneumonia.

Because I live on a farm and do not have the privilege of attending church services, I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science through the literature. I came to the United States from Denmark when I was fifteen years old, and found myself confronted with two great problems—that of learning a new language and of finding employment.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p. 372 ), our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, lovingly reminds us, "In Christian Science, a denial of Truth is fatal, while a just acknowledgment of Truth and of what it has done for us is an effectual help.
