Testimonies of Healing

In simple but eloquent words I should like to sing aloud my praises to God and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for revealing Christian Science to the world and to me. Because this Science changed the entire course of my life, released me from bondage to fear and despondency, and brought health and hope, I can never be grateful enough.

With deep gratitude to God for Christian Science, I send this testimony. A Wednesday evening testimony meeting was my first introduction to this Science.

I should like to express my deep gratitude to God for Christian Science, and for Mary Baker Eddy, who expressed so much godliness that she became the revelator of the Christ, Truth, in this age, unselfishly sharing this revelation with the whole world. "Man's extremity is God's opportunity.

I Wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for the many blessings which have come to me through its study and application during the years that I have been a student of this beautiful religion. I am especially grateful for the protection which I received some time ago in an accident.

A member of our family was suffering from a stomach disorder of long standing when a neighbor told us of the healing efficacy of Christian Science, and lent us one of the periodicals, which included testimonies of healing. Interest was aroused and a copy of Science and Health by Mrs.

For many years I was not satisfied with the concept of God which had been taught me in my childhood. I often asked my mother why Christ Jesus did not heal us now as he healed people while he was on earth.

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude to God for giving Christian Science to this age through Mary Baker Eddy, whose purity and receptivity enabled her to be its Discoverer and Founder. Through its ministry I have experienced and witnessed the overcoming of all manner of discordant conditions.

Christian Science blessed me with healing shortly after I began to study it, and has continued to do so for twenty-five years. When I was in my early twenties I was told by a physician who came regularly to the office in which I worked that I had a goiter.

One memorable day, after I had been for six weeks a helpless cripple under the sentence of twelve to eighteen months more of suffering, I asked for a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
