Testimonies of Healing

About a year ago our small son was so badly bitten by a dog that his ear was almost off. When a Christian Science practitioner was called she voiced the nothingness of bestial ferocity, and said that God's child had never come into contact with it.

It is indeed a joy to testify to the beneficent results experienced through the study and application of Christian Science. Various kinds of discord which I have experienced have been overcome with remarkable success.

With sincere humility and deepest gratitude to God I offer my testimony that bones can be perfectly set and quickly knit by mental surgery alone, through Christian Science treatment, which was proved in my experience. The proof is documented by X-ray photographs and a surgeon's letter, testifying to a perfect setting and knitting, also that I was in no pain at the time he saw me, less than twenty-four hours after the accident.

With the Psalmist I say: "I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

For many months I had been praying to be lifted out of a serious problem. In early childhood I had witnessed the healing of my mother of an acute heart ailment, and because of this proof of God's power.

With a heart full of gratitude for Christian Science, I give this testimony. My mother was healed of liver trouble the first time she attended a Christian Science church.

It is more than forty-five years since I began the study of Christian Science, and during that time I have used no material remedies. I have had many healings and know that Christian Science heals what are called incurable diseases, as well as lesser ailments.

In Revelation we find the following citation: "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. " As a child I attended an orthodox Sunday school and church, and during those years I learned many verses from the Bible.

In Deuteronomy we read, "He is thy praise, and he Is thy God. " I realize that since praise is part of my identity, I must express my grateful thanks to God for what Christian Science has done for me.

It is with a heart filled with gratitude to God that I am writing this testimony. I heard of Christian Science over thirty years ago, when my mother, who had been a semi-invalid for years, had been given but a week more to live.
