Testimonies of Healing

I wish to express my gratitude to Christian Science, which has transformed my life. I had been suffering from chronic nephritis and enteritis, which had resisted treatment and diets for several years; and serious complications had been added to these ills, when one in my family acquainted me with Christian Science.

Because of sincere gratitude to our Father-Mother God; to our Way-shower, Christ Jesus; and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I give this testimony. I began the study of Christian Science to find help for mental suffering and nervousness, but soon found that "not partially, but fully, the great healer of mortal mind is the healer of the body," as Mrs.

During the past twenty-five years, my family and I have depended absolutely upon Christian Science in overcoming every discord, of whatever nature; and we can say with hearts overflowing with gratitude that the truth, as taught in Christian Science, has never failed to heal when properly applied. Christian Scientists may fail, temporarily, but Christian Science never will.

We read in Psalm 127 : "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it. " Like countless others, I am rebuilding my house, or concept of life, on the firm foundation of God's law of good, as taught in Christian Science, thus finding health, security, and abundance.

More than twenty years ago I was asked by a relative to look into Christian Science for a much-loved son who had been afflicted from birth, but I was loath to believe that this teaching could do what physicians had failed to do. A little later our daughter became ill.

In gratitude for the guiding power of Truth as manifested in my school and business experience, I wish to give this testimony. I have had the wonderful privilege of being brought up in Christian Science, and regard this as the biggest blessing of my life.

I am very grateful for all the good that has come into my life since I took up the study of Christian Science, and I have long desired to express my gratitude through the periodicals. My first contact with this Science came in 1929, when I was traveling.

An acknowledgment of the many blessings I have received through Christian Science can be delayed no longer. These blessings continue to unfold, and each day I realize a deeper sense of gratitude.

My interest in Christian Science began about the time I learned to read fairly well. An older brother, a university man, did not see well enough to read, and I read Science and Health to him, expecting nothing but his satisfaction.

My gratitude to God for Christian Science has continued daily through a number of years. The healings recorded in my testimony in the Christian Science Sentinel of June 2, 1923, have been permanent.
