Testimonies of Healing

Sincere gratitude prompts me to share with others some of the many blessings Christian Science has brought to me. My first healing was of chronic constipation and violent headaches.

It is with joyous gratitude that I give this testimony of the power of God to heal and bless, as proved through the understanding of the teachings of Christian Science. During many years of study and application of this Science I have proved it to be the holy Comforter, and a constant joy and unfailing remedy in times of tribulation, want, and sickness.

I am very grateful that Christian Science has come into my life. Four years ago I had my first wonderful experience.

I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing, but because a statement by Mrs. Eddy particularly appealed to me (Science and Health, p.

" Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy. " This Scriptural passage encourages me to express, through the columns of our periodicals, my gratitude for the redemptive power of Truth as taught in Christian Science.

I have long wished to express in some way my gratitude for the many blessings Christian Science has brought to me and mine. Every time I meet difficulties I have only to recall the experiences in the past six years since my husband and I became students of Christian Science.

When Christian Science healed me of a skin condition, known as eczema, I was completely ignorant of how the healing was accomplished. The condition had first manifested itself about five years before, and as it became more noticeable, I was taken first to one physician, then to another, for relief.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I give testimony of my healing through Christian Science. For more than ten years I suffered from a so-called incurable tropical disease.

My first introduction to Christian Science came through the reading of its textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was seeking, not a physical healing, but a religion which taught the truth about God.

So numerous are the blessings I have received through the teachings of Christian Science that I find it impossible to refrain any longer from expressing my gratitude to our loving Father-Mother God and to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and also to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered the Science of Christianity. It was my great privilege to be brought up in a Christian Science home, where I was taught to put this Science into practice in my daily experiences.
