Testimonies of Healing

It has been my blessed privilege to have been reared in Christian Science and to have attended the Sunday school up to the age of twenty. I should like to share some of my experiences of healing.

With a heart full of gratitude I wish to tell of a few of my experiences in Christian Science. Over seventeen years ago I was in bed with an ulcerated throat, and after I had used material remedies without result, my mother, who was studying Christian Science, advised me to give it a trial.

I feel as though I must not let another season pass without expressing in writing my gratitude to God, to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to the Cause of Christian Science. In the winter of 1914 I purchased my first copy of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs.

For over seventeen years, Christian Science has been my guide in solving financial, domestic, and physical problems. Through the realization and application of Truth, a position in a line of work for which I was equipped was given me at a time when it was necessary for me to put my shoulder to the wheel.

Although my parents were atheists, I was sent to Sunday school. In my girlhood the Bible gave me inspiration, comfort, guidance, and strength; and in my teens I spent a year training for missionary work at a Bible institute in this city.

For twenty-eight years Christian Science has met my every need, and I do not have words to express my deep gratitude for the protection afforded me during these years. My first healing was instantaneous and came soon after I began to read our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

I wish to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me, and is doing for all mankind. I first became interested in Christian Science in 1895.

It has long been my desire to express gratitude through these pages for what the truth, as revealed by Mary Baker Eddy, has brought to me. More than twelve years ago I had a physical healing.

With profound gratitude I express my appreciation of Christian Science for what it has done and what it is doing for me. By reading the precious works of Mary Baker Eddy, particularly Science and Health, my life has been changed to one of peace and happiness.

I am so grateful to Christian Science for its healing power and for the spiritual uplifting I have experienced for the past thirty years, during which time I have relied solely on its truths to meet every need, that I wish to contribute my testimony. One summer day I stepped hurriedly onto a friend's piazza, which was wet and slippery from the rain.
