Christian Science has proved a great blessing to my family and myself. I cannot begin to tell of the many wonderful healings we have experienced in our home. I desire to express my thankfulness to God, and my gratitude to our beloved Leader, that grand and noble gentlewoman, Mrs. Eddy, who has done so much for all mankind in giving to the world this great gift, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
One son, a boy eight years old, suffered from birth with throat and nose trouble, which in due time developed into tuberculosis. For three months before he was healed he seemed to grow much worse. I tried to help him through my understanding of divine Science, but a great sense of fear seemed to take possession of me, as our only daughter had passed on nine years before with this belief. On May 18, 1914, I took the boy to a practitioner for help. Two present treatments were given and an absent one, and on June 1 he returned to school well. It was an almost instantaneous healing, and for this great blessing I am truly grateful. It was indeed wonderful. Another son was nine years old when he was healed of tuberculosis of the kneejoint. That was three years ago. He could not walk for three months, and lay on his back for six weeks, but today it would be hard to find a healthier boy. He has learned to use this great truth for himself, and he applies Christian Science teachings in school work and even in play.
