In gratitude to our loving Father for the understanding of Christian Science I write the following testimony. I had worn glasses constantly for sixteen years for defective sight, said by the oculist to be hereditary, and was just waiting to get stronger glasses when through the loving work of a dear friend I was instantaneously healed and experienced a wonderful spiritual uplift. I had not heard much of Christian Science before, but knew at once it was the truth I had so long been seeking; and as my mentality cleared my joy was intense. I found I could read without the aid of glasses, and have had no occasion to wear them since.
I have come to realize very clearly the truth of Mrs. Eddy's statement: "Obedience to Truth gives manpower and strength. Submission to error superinduces loss of power" (Science and Health, p. 183). I had taken medicine as long as I could remember, but as the light came it was all thrown away. I am indeed grateful for my many blessings, and for the confirmation of the words of Jesus the Christ, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."— Crowborough, England.
