My first healing after taking up the study of Christian Science was that of intense grief. A great sense of loss gripped me after my husband passed on very suddenly. I had a very young baby at the time, and it seemed impossible for me to carry on the duties which were mine. In a short time, however, under Christian Science treatment, I received such help and encouragement that I was contented, uplifted, and comforted, and was able to live normally. I have studied more and am thankful for a better understanding of God and His infinitude gained through this study.
I have experienced the healing of discordant conditions in the rearing of my daughter, such as of measles, mumps, croup, and other minor disturbances. Christian Science has been my only physician for her and has always met the need for physical healing quickly and permanently. It is gratifying to see her turn naturally to God for help at all times and to see the unfolding of the truth in her consciousness. I feel deep appreciation for the Sunday school, as well as for all our church services.
I was healed of injuries, such as broken bones and bruises, incurred in an accident a year ago, at the same time gaining more faith in the healing power of Christian Science. This healing was very wonderful to me, as I was relieved of excruciating bodily pain time and again until it disappeared and I was free.
