Christian Science means everything to me. It has blessed me all my life, and I cannot conceive of existence without it. When I was three years old my parents started studying it, and I was immediately enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School. At that time we were living in a small suburb of a large city, and there was no Christian Science church near us. It took us practically an hour to ride to Sunday school on the street car; and I am very grateful that my parents never considered this long weekly trip a hardship, but rather a joy and privilege. Soon a Christian Science church was organized in our vicinity, the Sunday school of which I attended regularly until I reached the age limit.
I am very grateful that my parents, who became active church members, always made it very clear that they expected my sister and me to go to Sunday school. There was never any discussion about it—it was just the thing that one did on Sunday mornings. We loved to attend, and rarely missed a Sunday. I am deeply grateful for the teachers I had, whose loving-kindness and clear thinking served to establish me on the sure foundation of Truth. My love of Christian Science and absolute trust in it have never wavered.
As soon as I was out of Sunday school it was my great joy to join this branch church and The Mother Church, thus identifying myself even more fully with the greatest activity for good the world has ever known; namely, the Christian Science movement.
