What a blessing we receive when we discern Life as God, good, and man as God's reflection! In the kaleidoscope of human life, multifarious manifestations of evil present false pictures to us. Sin, disease, disaster, death, seem real to mortal sense, but Christian Science shows them to be deceptive illusions, or untrue suggestions of mortal mind, not ideas or facts of true existence.
Christ Jesus came preaching to suffering humanity the gladsome message of a perfect spiritual creation. He promised the advent of the Comforter, which today is bringing to the world its wonderful healing message. This is the final revelation of Truth, as presented by Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Christian Science unfolds to our view, simply and clearly, the truth the Master gave to the world. It reveals the perfection and indestructibility of the spiritual man and universe.
Through Christian Science, the human sense of life is seen to be but the counterfeit of the divine, and the varied experiences of mortals to be untrue. Mrs. Eddy has given us the spiritual interpretation of the Scriptures, and through this study one is enabled to differentiate between the real and the unreal, to understand the true facts of being, and to overcome illusive beliefs of every kind. When Daniel was cast into the lions' den, he steadfastly turned from the terrifying situation and realized God's presence and protecting power. Our Leader states on page 260 of Science and Health: "The conceptions of mortal, erring thought must give way to the ideal of all that is perfect and eternal. Through many generations human beliefs will be attaining diviner conceptions, and the immortal and perfect model of God's creation will finally be seen as the only true conception of being."
