We have had so many wonderful healings in Christian Science and have been blessed with so much good that my expression of gratitude is long overdue. This Science came into my life about twelve years ago when my husband, who had attended a Christian Science Sunday School as a boy, decided to return to the church of his youth, and I went with him.
At first I saw "through a glass, darkly" (I Cor. 13:12), but with gradual growth in spiritual understanding and the overcoming of difficulties, I found my footsteps becoming firmly established in the truth. With absolute certainty I know that God is a living, loving Father-Mother, ever present and all-powerful. Through the illumination of the Bible, I now know that so-called miracles, such as those of our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, are just as possible today as when he trod the earth, because they are the natural, harmonious workings of God, ever-present divine Love.
Through sole reliance on Christian Science, my husband, our two young children, and I have been able to solve the problem of human relationships, illness, lack, and effects of accidents. We have finally learned that when a problem presents itself, we need no longer pityingly exclaim, "Oh, why does this have to happen to me!" Instead, we work it out, look for the lesson to be learned, and rejoice in another forward step. Truly, as our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, tells us (Science and Health, p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care."
