While reviewing some home movies recently, our family was reminded of a healing which occurred as a result of holding to the truths taught in Christian Science. We had almost forgotten about this event, since it occurred a number of years ago.
One of our boys was born with one of his feet turned about forty-five degrees from the direction that it should have been. Although we tried to see the unreality of this condition, it remained with him until after he had learned to walk and run. In fact, it was a movie of him running across the lawn when he was small which reminded us of this healing.
We saw that, like the movie itself, the condition had been only an illusion. Just as the objects on the screen are not moving at all, but are a series of still pictures flashed before the eyes so fast that they appear to be moving, so is error of any sort only an illusion which the senses are fooled into believing is active and real.
